A large portion of our flying budget (80%) goes to transporting sick patients to/from the mountains. That cost is more than what we are given for next year so something has to change. The Lesotho Flying Doctor Services program is expensive as it involves flying, but it is the Lesotho Government’s program. It costs money to fly sick people, clinic staff and immediate family, Doctor Team, Public Health Team, Environmental Health Team, Cargo (drugs, coal, wood, gas, food, coffins). It is heart wrenching to have to make these cuts but that is my responsibility as Manager, LFDS.

A Labor of Love…Community Garden…

Harvest CRC will be looking for volunteers to assist with planting and eventual “weeding” in the Harvest Community Garden during the 2010 season. All “fruits” of your labor, will be made available for the community free of charge. You do not need to be a member of Harvest to till and weed the garden, this is a true community happening!
Won’t you consider joining those already signed up!

The Power of Prayer!
A reminder our “Prayer Time” folks gather at 7:00 pm every Tuesday night for a community prayer meeting. If you cannot attend and are in need of a prayer request on your behalf, you are invited to mail or e-mail your prayer request or call the church office at 616-374-8697.
Prayers can be offered for you or your loved ones.
Dare2Share Youth Conference…
“Ignited my passion”…”changed my life”….”it was awesome” . Just a few comments from a youth attending a recent Dare2Share conference in Chicago. This experience equipped our local youth to encounter God in a powerful way and to take up the “cause” in their own community and school.

Italian Dinner/Variety Show…
Saturday, March 27 at 5:30 pm - Please, join us for an Italian feast!
We will have lasagna, spaghetti, salad and dessert for the family meal at Harvest, then relax and be entertained with a mix of music, comedy and drama at 7:00 pm at the 2010 Variety Show.
