Today: There will NO II Samuel Study
Children’s Worship for ages 3 through 6 will meet today. Children are dismissed to go downstairs during the offering.
Please join us for coffee and fellowship time following the service this morning.
Can going to church EVER be a bad thing? That all depends on the church-goer. This morning we find our man Jeremiah confronting something that is just as common and just as harmful today as it was some 2500 years ago.
Next Sunday’s second offering will be for the War Chest of Harvest Church.
Children’s Worship for ages 3 thru 6 will meet today. Kids are dismissed to go downstairs during the offering.
There will be no II Samuel study today.
Back to School Bash is in need of several more volunteers to take a turn at one of the game stations. See the sign up sheet on the back table. The event takes place in the church lot, Sunday, September 11, 2-6 pm.
Harvest Garden volunteers, please meet at the garden on Wednesday at 7:00 pm.
New pages for the Harvest Church directory will be prepared for your binders in the near future. If you want a dif-ferent photo of your family included, please see Lisa Jack-son today, or you can submit one of your own in digital for-mat.
Congregational Meeting for the purpose of officer elections will take place after the Sunday Service, September 11. Nominated for the office of deacon are Dave Beach, Eric Stoel, and Mike Van’t Land (vote for 2). Joel Pepper is the single nominee for elder and is up for a vote of affirmation.
Sunday School classes from preschool thru adult will begin Sunday, September 18th. We are in need of a teacher for the preschool class. Contact Ken Oosterhouse if you would be willing to take up this ministry.
We are still in need of a Children’s Worship Coordinator for this Fall. See Ken Oosterhouse for job description.
Nursery Coordinator needed. See Pastor Ridder or call the church office for what this ministry entails.
CHEERS Small Group Leadership meeting is scheduled for this Wednesday, 7:30 pm.
Coffee Break/Little Lambs new season will begin with a Get (Re)Acquainted Open House on Wednesday, September 21. We are working on a new nursery attendant schedule. If you would be interested in helping once or twice a month, please let Marshann Ludema know. Sessions will begin at 9:00 am and finish at 10:45 am each week.
The Power of a Whisper sermon series and corresponding small group study will begin on Sunday, September 25. Not part of a small group but would like to be? See Pastor Ridder.
