ANNOUNCEMENTS

This morning we continue in our series “The Power of a Whisper,” do you find yourself in the camp that says “I got nothing and I get nothing”? This morning’s message will address that issue and provide some help for the journey.

Second offering next Sunday will be for the War Chest of Harvest Church.

Prayer for the Persecuted Church Sunday is November 13. We will be participating in the world-wide remembrance and prayer here at Harvest. Following the service we will be having a shared dinner featuring some recipes from other countries. Contact Lisa Jackson or Joann Gerke for recipe ideas. Even if you don’t use different recipes, will you please bring a dish or two to share? Drinks will be provided.

Sunday School classes for all ages today at 11:00. Men’s class meets in the corner of the sanctuary, Women are downstairs in the big room. All other classrooms are marked.

Samaritan Purse Operation Christmas Shoe Boxes. Once again we will be involved in this ministry. Shoe Boxes must be here by Sunday, November 20. If you have any questions, contact Karilynn Ridder.

This morning we continue our series on “The Power of a Whisper” with a glimpse of the heart of God towards the oppressed. Will we have the ears to hear should He call us to do something for those for whom His heart breaks.

Sunday Evening Bible Study will begin a new study this evening at 5:00. Join us as we begin to go through Paul’s letters to the Corinthian Church verse by verse. These letters, written some 2000 years ago, are as helpful and relevant today as they were then, both for the church as a whole and individual Christians. Let’s discover how, together.

ANNOUNCEMENTS

This morning we continue in our series ―The Power of a Whisper‖ with a second look at what it means to practice God’s presence. There are some things we can do to increase the odds of our hearing God’s whispers on a daily basis and therefore live a whisper-led life.

Pastor Ridder is still looking for your whisper stories. You can give him a call, drop him a note, or email him at ben@harvestcrc.com.

The second offering this morning is for the denominational GEMS (Girls Everywhere Meeting the Savior). This is our annual ―dues‖.

ANNOUNCEMENTS

This morning we continue in our series ―The Power of a Whisper.‖ It’s God who desires for us to hear what He has to say for issues big and small. Do we have a part to play in this? Can we increase the odds of actually hearing what He has to say?

Also before us this morning is the grace meal of our Lord through the sacrament of Holy Communion. All are invited to participate who:

* Humble themselves in repentance before God, considering their own sin.

*  Trust in Jesus Christ alone for salvation believing their sins are forgiven wholly by grace for the sake of our Lord’s sacrifice on the cross.

*  Resolve to live in faith and obedience with his neighbor.

Children who profess a faith in Jesus as Savior also welcomed

Children’s Worship will meet this morning for ages 3-6. Kids may go downstairs during the offering.

II Samuel Study will meet tonight at 5:00. Please read the rest of the book in preparation for tonight’s lesson.

The Art of Marriage will be held at Living Gospel Church in Lake Odessa on Nov. 4 beginning at 7 pm, and Saturday, Nov. 5. Registration deadline is October 16. Cost is $50 per couple and includes workbooks and meals. Contact Joe or Heather Wortley at 374-1007 for more information. There is also a flyer on the back bulletin board.
