ANNOUNCEMENTS
This morning we look at the issue of church unity. What is it that holds the Church of Christ together as one? What is the one thing that always threatens the oneness that the Holy Spirit has blessed the Church with? Those are some of the questions we’ll address together this morning.
The second offering next week will be our annual collection for CRWRC, the Christian Reformed World Relief Committee.
There are Sunday School classes for all ages following the morning service, beginning at 11:00. Men meet in the northeast corner of the sanctuary. Women meet in the big room downstairs. All other classrooms are marked.
I Corinthians Study tonight at 5:00. Please read I Corinthians 1:18-2:5 in preparation.
Youth Group meets tonight at 5:00.
Prayer and Praise meets on Tuesday at 7:00. Please share your prayer requests with us by using the form included in the bulletin and placing it in the offering or in the Prayer Room bowl.

Coffee Break and Little Lambs meets this Wednesday at 9:00 am. We will be studying Genesis 42—45:15. Women, join us!
GEMS Girls Club meets this Thursday at 6:00 pm.
We are still in need of several gifts for girls age 6 and girls age 10 for the Lakewood Community Council Christmas Basket Program. Gifts should be wrapped and tagged and brought here to church by Wednesday, December 7. Hats, socks and mittens, any size, are also welcomed. There is a sign up sheet on the back table along with more information about how you can help.
Congregational Meeting for the purpose of voting on the 2012 proposed budget is scheduled for Sunday, December 11, following the service. The proposed budget is in your mailboxes, with extra copies on the back table.
MARK THE DATE..Saturday, December 17, from 5-10 pm, YOUTH GROUP babysitting night. Bring snacks. Sign up on the back table. $20 for the first child. $10 for any additional children in the family. Supper will be provided.
Volunteers needed: Children’s Worship ages 3-4, 5-6, and Nursery are looking for a few good men and women to pass on their faith to our little ones. Please sign up on the volunteer sheet on the back table. The 2012 schedule will be posted on December 11, so don’t hesitate! Helpers are also needed, ages 10 and up.
Christmas Wreaths. Anybody interested in making an “individualized” wreath to be used as decoration in the church sanctuary over the Christmas season, please meet with Marilyn DeJong for more details following the service this morning.

ANNOUNCEMENTS
As we left off last week, our persecuted brothers and sisters have some things to teach us here in North America. This morning we seek to emulate their reverence for the Bible, the word of our God.

This morning we have before us the meal of grace through the sacrament of Holy Communion. All are invited to partake who:
 Humble themselves in repentance before God, considering their own sin.
 Trust in Jesus Christ alone for salvation believing their sins are forgiven wholly by grace for the sake of our Lord’s sacrifice on the cross.
 Resolve to live in faith and obedience with his neighbor.

Children who profess a faith in Jesus as Savior are also welcomed.

This morning we conclude the “Power of a Whisper” series with testimonies from people of Harvest Church about times when they heard the whispering of God directing them to a certain action, admonishing them for a certain attitude or behavior, and giving His assurance during difficult times in life.
