Ann Snyder has returned home from the hospital following her heart surgery. Karen Martin continues to rehab from her hip replacement surgery. She does need rides to her therapy sessions. If any one is willing to help out, please call the church office.

Church Family
Karen Martin underwent hip replacement surgery this past week and is convalescing at home. Continue to pray for her complete recover.
Ann Snyder underwent heart surgery this past Friday. Please pray for restoration of strength as she recovers as well.
Parker Grace, granddaughter of Joann Gerke, continues her stay in natal intensive care. A few more concerns have recently come up. Let’s keep this little one in our prayers as well.

ANNOUNCEMENTS
As we continue our Advent series, today we consider the fact of a virgin birth. Does it make a difference that Jesus was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of a virgin, and why should we care?
Advent Wreath. This morning we light the candle of Peace. Scripture tells us that it’s the peace with God that leads to the peace of God.
Congregational Meeting for the purpose of adopting the pro-posed 2012 budget is scheduled for this morning after the worship service. All communicant members of Harvest Church 18 years and older are eligible to vote. Reminder, there will be Sunday School classes for all ages.
I Corinthians Study will meet tonight at 5:00. Please read I Corinthians 2:6-16 in preparation.
Youth Group meets tonight at 5:00. We will be doing lesson three in our current look at sexuality under the heading of The Truth About Boundaries.
Prayer and Praise meets on Tuesday at 7:00. Please share your prayer requests with us by using the form included in the bulletin and placing it in the offering or in the Prayer Room bowl.
Pick Up Basketball on Tuesday at the Woodland Elementary gym at 7:00 pm.
Coffee Break and Little Lambs meets this Wednesday. This will be our last meeting until the new year. Women, remember to bring a t-shirt and a favorite Christmas treat.
The Youth Group will be babysitting this Saturday, December 17, from 5-10 pm as a fundraiser and way to give parents a night away. Bring snacks. Sign up on the back table. $20 for the first child. $10 for any additional children in the family. Supper will be provided.
Christmas Celebration will be held here on Sunday, December 25 at 9:30 am. There will be no Christmas Eve service.
Sunday School Schedule. There will be no Sunday School classes on the weeks of December 25 and January 1.
Thank you to all who contributed to the Lakewood Community Council Christmas Basket Program; wrapped gifts, money, hats and mittens. Your gifts will bless those in the Lakewood Community who have few resources this Christmas season.

Winter Outerwear Closet. We have had several people stopping by Harvest’s outerwear closet this past week. If you have children’s coats, boots, snow pants, etc. that you no longer need, please bring them in and they will benefit someone who can really use them.
